Safeguarding Policies & Guidelines

Services In Church Building

The following applies to our Sunday Worship from Sunday 25 July until further notice.

1)
It will no longer be necessary to book a place, but everyone will have to sign in.

2)           We will ask everyone to hand sanitise and will keep the one-way system in place, along with good ventilation and windows open.

3)           We would ask that people do wear face masks to protect those who are vulnerable.

4)           Seating will be closer together, but if you would like to have more distance between yourself and others, please ask, upon signing in, for a white card which you can place at a seat near you that will indicate that others may not sit there.

5)           We would ask that we do not speak to one another in the church building, and that upon being seated that this time is used as a time of quiet reflection.

6)           We can sing during worship, but will keep our masks on. Please do not feel you have to sing if you feel uncomfortable.

7)           Holy Communion when taken will remain in individual sealed elements, for those who wish to participate.

8)           At the end of the service we will leave quickly and be able to talk to one another outside. Mask wearing at this point is however you feel comfortable with, but please respect the views of those who prefer to keep their mask on.

9)           We know it is tempting to want to hug or touch those we have not seen for some time, but would respectfully ask that we all refrain from physical touch at the moment - again to protect those who feel vulnerable.

Please be assured we look forward to slowly opening our Services to all the elements we all miss - live music, coffee, children’s work, etc. We will keep you informed as things change and we assess how things are working. Our heart’s desire is to help everyone move forward and feel safe.

Junior Church will take place during the church service:
From Sunday 26th September

THE BEACON – is back in church!  This Wednesday, 29 September, you're invited to drop in any time between 10 and 12 for coffee and a chat. Bring your crafts along if you would like to. We'll be set up to allow social distancing, and encourage the wearing of masks when not seated with refreshments.  All welcome!  (Please note that we don't currently need contributions of cake etc.)
