Rev Adele Moorhouse
          Rev Adele Moorhouse (Methodist)

I joined the church of St John the Evangelist Kingston Park in September 2018.  Working with four denominations in a single congregation is certainly interesting but very rewarding and also exciting, particularly in the light of Jesus' prayer that we might all be one.  The church's location in a busy and growing community offers many opportunities for making contact and building relationships with those who are yet to know Jesus - something I have always been very keen to do.

I grew up in Scarborough, moving north to study at Newcastle University in 1979 and then settling in Cramlington which has been home since 1982.  Following almost 18 years as a full time mum to four children, I trained at the Wesley Study centre, part of St John's College in Durham, before serving as a Methodist minister for 14 years in the South East Northumberland Ecumenical Area.  I am married to Steve and we enjoy walking, reading, watching films and catching up with family including our much loved grandchildren.

I'd love to meet you so please keep an eye on the website for events and services, or maybe drop in to The Beacon at St John's for coffee if you are ever free some time between 10 and 12 on a Wednesday morning.
